3 Days In Sifnos – Epic Island Adventure

My Greece trip through the Cyclades led me to Sifnos, the 8th island on my journey—and it quickly became one of my favorite islands, alongside Folegandros and Amorgos. What makes it special? The sheer natural beauty, from ultra-picturesque towns perched on cliffs to fantastic views of the Aegean.

This quintessential Cycladic island keeps its laid back, unpretentious vibe, offering an authentic Greek experience without sacrificing a solid selection of bars, nightlife, and activity.

But what truly sets Sifnos apart? It’s home to over 300+ churches, a staggering number even by Cycladic standards—you’ll find one on every street, often in the most dramatic places a top  mountains with stunning panoramas.

This island leads the Cyclades as a top hiking destination, and though I didn’t hike much, its reputation is well-earned. Whether it’s the delicious food, the natural beauty, or the authentic charm, Sifnos is a spot you won’t forget.
